SHOW-N-TELL
A favorite among children, Show-N-Tell will be held on a regular basis. Whether or not your child participates is optional, with the final decision belonging to the child. The classroom teacher will inform you as to the dates in the weekly schedule. Each day during Show-N-Tell that your child attends school, they may bring in a Show-N-Tell bag. Items brought from home are to be in a BAG MARKED WITH THE CHILD'S NAME and left in their cubby. Past experience has taught us that children forget or do not recognize what is their own and what is not. To avoid this problem, please have the item labeled with your child's name.
We encourage each child to bring in appropriate items to share with the class. Especially nice are items pertaining to the curriculum. When your child brings something from home, and it relates to the school situation, the child is applying what he/she learns in school to everyday life experiences. However, the toy or item that your child cherishes might be better left at home, as sharing a "favorite" can be difficult.
